If You’re Happy and You Know It

This fun little action song is great for getting younger kids moving.  After each “If you’re happy and you know it” line, everyone singing should do the mentioned motion (see verses below).  In the final verse (“do all three”), you do all three!

Simple, isn’t it?

If you’re happy and you know it, clap your hands  (clap, clap)
If you’re happy and you know it, clap your hands  (clap, clap)
If you’re happy and you know it
Then your face with surely show it
If you’re happy and you know it, clap your hands  (clap, clap)

If you’re happy and you know it, stomp your feet
If you’re happy and you know it, stomp your feet
If you’re happy and you know it
Then your face will surely show it
If you’re happy and you know it, stomp your feet

If you’re happy and you know it, nod your head
If you’re happy and you know it, nod your head
If you’re happy and you know it
Then your face will surely show it
If you’re happy and you know it, nod your head

If you’re happy and you know it, do all three
If you’re happy and you know it, do all three
If you’re happy and you know it
Then your face will surely show it
If you’re happy and you know it, do all three

Some alternate verses:

  • If you’re happy and you know it, shake a hand…

  • If you’re happy and you know it, give a smile…

  • If you’re happy and you know it, turn around…

  • If you’re happy and you know it, say Amen!…
