Jack Sprat

This is the way we learned this old nursery rhyme: 

Jack Sprat could eat no fat.
His wife could eat no lean.
And so betwixt them both, you see,
They licked the platter clean.

My kids learned it a little differently at daycare a few years back:

Jack Sprat could eat no fat.
His wife could eat no lean.
And so between the two of them
They made the platter clean.
