Bingo

This old classic is even more fun with a group of children.

There was a farmer had a dog
And Bingo was its name-o
B-I-N-G-O
B-I-N-G-O
B-I-N-G-O
And Bingo was its name-o

After singing the first verse, the verse is repeated with a hand-clap replacing the first letter of the name “Bingo.”  The next time through, the first two letters are replaced, and so forth.

There was a farmer had a dog
And Bingo was its name-o
(clap)-I-N-G-O
(clap)-I-N-G-O
(clap)-I-N-G-O
And Bingo was its name-o

There was a farmer had a dog
And Bingo was its name-o
(clap)-(clap)-N-G-O
(clap)-(clap)-N-G-O
(clap)-(clap)-N-G-O
And Bingo was its name-o

There was a farmer had a dog
And Bingo was its name-o
(clap)-(clap)-(clap)-G-O
(clap)-(clap)-(clap)-G-O
(clap)-(clap)-(clap)-G-O
And Bingo was its name-o

There was a farmer had a dog
And Bingo was its name-o
(clap)-(clap)-(clap)-(clap)-O
(clap)-(clap)-(clap)-(clap)-O
(clap)-(clap)-(clap)-(clap)-O
And Bingo was its name-o

There was a farmer had a dog
And Bingo was its name-o
(clap)-(clap)-(clap)-(clap)-(clap)
(clap)-(clap)-(clap)-(clap)-(clap)
(clap)-(clap)-(clap)-(clap)-(clap)
And Bingo was its name-o

One variation of this song includes singing each consecutive verse a little faster than the one before.  As the song progresses, the singers are singing “double time” as they struggle to remember which letters should be sung and which should be clapped.

To hear the tune and see the fun, check out Matthew and his classmates at their 2006 summer concert:

Is there a set of rooms which specialise in lesser prizes as I like these as you have more odds of geting these unlike the mega bingo prizes that can get up into the millions but where there is a poor hope of winning.
